We went for a random late lunch midweek and although the restaurant was pretty empty the standards definitely didn’t drop. I had the hamburger donburi and it was such a comforting dish with a really gorgeous black pepper sauce. The tempura asparagus hosomaki was ok but I think next time I’ll stick to the classics. Overall a really lovely experience and I can’t wait to visit again! ”

“ Tidy little Japanese restaurant that we were taken to by our gorgeous daughter and her partner during a flying visit. The decor is pleasant, the seating comfortable, its nicely lit and it's a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the food and the service. The menu is right-sized; goldilocks, call it whatever management-speak term you will. In any case, lots of good stuff for the soup, noodle and tempura-munchers. I had the spicy tonkotsu pork ramen and wasn't disappointed. Wifey had the chicken curry udon and to be honest, after a tasting, it wasn't something I'd have again. The girls had yaki soba dishes and a side of calamari....as one does. No complaints registered from either. The service was great; Mila was nothing but lovely..... but she does need to learn that Asahi Super Dry is made with rice as a substantial component. ”
